The Investment Manager Training Bootcamp is a practical three-day course designed to equip startups with the skills and tools needed to fundraise confidently and professionally. About the Instructors
Prof. Paris de l’Etraz
Paris runs the Venture Lab, Europe’s largest Business School Accelerator, at IE University. He has accelerated over 3,500 startups in the last 12 years and is presently Chairman of the Applied Innovation Institute in Silicon Valley and Singapore, Board member of Nesma NIT in KSA as well as former Board member of QSTP in Qatar, part of the Qatar Foundation. His PhD for his work in organizational behavior focusing on the relationship of professionals with uncertainty. Paris has 3 patents, one in business networking. He is a co-founder of the Stanford Collaboratory for Uncertainty Management in the Age of AI which studies strategies for mitigating Cognitive Offloading as well as the effective use of AI by students and professionals. Previously he was a serial entrepreneur founding 5 startups, after spending 21 years in investment banking at UBS Bank and ABN AMRO Bank, in NY and London. Today, he teaches entrepreneurship to MBAs, MIMs and BBAs, runs Executive Education Programs and has founded 2 startups using Gen AI in HRTech and EdTech.
Gaelle Bou Abdo, Msc
Gaelle Bou Abdo is an entrepreneur, professor, and researcher passionate about how humans and technology can create together. She teaches Generative AI, entrepreneurship and Innovation at IE Business School, and is part of the Stanford Collaboratory for Human and AI, where her research explores how we can design more thoughtful, human-centered uses of AI. Before co-founding her tech consulting firm, Ivy & Company, Gaelle led innovation for a fortune 500 company, where she built product pipelines, partnerships, and programs that helped teams think and work differently. Today, through Ivy, she works with organizations, governments and startups across the GCC to bridge the gap between ideas and impact: bringing a mix of strategy, creativity, and technology.
Program Prerequisites

  •    Pre-Seed to Pre-Series A stage
  •      Minimum MVP or early traction has been achieved
  •      Founder or fundraising lead must attend
  •      Basic fundraising materials ready (deck, cap table, financial model draft)
  •     Business acumen & understanding of basic fundraising concepts and funding rounds
