One of the pillars that Saudi Vision 2030 focuses on is the development, empowerment and support of the non-profit sector. Misk Foundation launched its updated strategy to support and empower this sector through the Youth NPOs Builder Program, and promote the non-profit youth sector in the Kingdom, while providing organizations with the best organizational knowledge and expertise to enhance sustainability in serving the community.
The first edition of the Youth NPOs Builder Program was launched with a journey focused on learning and applying world-leading methodologies in non-profit organizations through six crucial knowledge-based areas in the non-profit sector. The areas include setting the organization's mission, designing community programs and proposals, managing development projects and their impact, attracting human resources, achieving financial sustainability, and building the operational plan. The program is delivered using co-working spaces to increase participant learning, engagement and expertise sharing, with the help of expert mentors to ensure practical application of knowledge in non-profit initiatives and organizations established by participants.
The program's first results were realized on January 12th, 2022, with the announcement of the official registration of six youth initiatives, namely , Falak for Space Sciences and Research , Kan Yama , Ghemar for Leadership Adventures and Sports , and Qaed for developing young leaders , which were registered as official and licensed organizations by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in addition to the endowment initiative Young Legal Leaders, which was registered under the supervision of the General Authority for Awqaf. These initiatives have evolved from the initiation stage to the entrepreneurship and sustainability stage and the journey of impact and community service. Two youth organizations have also participated in the program, supporting their organizational capacities and scope of work, which are: Qader Youth Association for Self Development and Mubadraat.
Following the success of the program's first pilot edition, the second edition will be launched in 2022. Registration will be open to initiatives and associations in February. This program is one of the enabling initiatives launched by Misk Foundation to promote the third sector in the Kingdom, and to provide its organizations with the best organizational knowledge and expertise that enhance their sustainability in serving the community.
