This report summarizes the results of the Global Youth Index (GYI) and the related research program. The GYI evaluates the drivers of youth development and access to opportunity across a range of factors for young people’s success in the future economy.
The GYI was developed by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) with the support of the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “Misk“. The EIU created the measurement framework for the GYI and carried out the research and analytic summary, drawing upon its global team of economists, public policy experts and technical specialists.
