About the Saudi Leadership Society (SLS)

The vision of SLS is to empower and inspire a diverse community of visionary and effective leaders who will drive positive change and contribute to the development of Saudi Arabia and beyond.

Today, the Saudi Leadership Society is a network of graduates from both the Misk Fellowship and Misk 2030 Leaders program. The mission of the SLS is to foster lifelong connections among these members and provide ongoing opportunities for their personal and professional growth making it a catalyst for socio-economic impact.

 

About the SLS Council Election

The composition of the SLS Council will reflect the aspirations of our community. Misk invited all graduates of Misk Fellowship and Misk 2030 Leaders program to nominate themselves to the Saudi Leadership Society's new governing Council in March 2023. We received an overwhelming 45 nominations.

Of these nominees, 5 will proceed to become the first members of the SLS council.ca

    2. Vote for all Nominees in each category to be able to submit your vote.

The SLS Council plays a pivotal role as the governing body of the Saudi Leadership Society (SLS). The Council's mandate is to provide strategic input to Misk on the affairs of SLS to advance the Society's mission.

The Council is an elected and voluntary body. Elected members contribute their service on a volunteer non-remunerated basis.

Broadly speaking, Council members take on the vital responsibility of driving impactful decision-making and leveraging their expertise to shape the future of the Saudi Leadership Society, making a tangible difference in the lives of its members and the broader community.

Council members can expect to contribute a minimum of 20-30 hours annually to help:

  • Provide input on SLS strategic direction.
  • Attend quarterly meetings of the Council.
  • Set the goals and agenda for the SLS annual assembly.
  • Encourage SLS members to maintain interest. engagement. and volunteerism.
  • Provide thought leadership on SLS initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for external partnerships.
  • Assume other duties requested by Misk to guide the affairs of SLS.

In the spirit of fostering inclusivity and collective decision-making, the council  is structured to ensure a fair representation of our membership.

The Council is composed of up to 10 elected members of SLS. Five seats will be elected in 2023 (the fifth seat will be selected by Misk). The other five seats will be added in 2024.

This year, we have five seats on the SLS Council to be filled:

  • 2030 Leaders: 2 seats (elected by you)
  • Fellows: 2 seats (elected by you)
  • Open Seat: 1 seat (appointed by Misk)
