Job Shadowing program provides you with the career guidance you need to have better visibility in the job market and make an informed decision about your future path.

A program that, to date, has no equivalent in the Saudi market. The program has partners from local and global well-known organizations to provide you with firsthand infield experience, an online educational journey, and one on one career counseling sessions.

Participants will undertake 21 hours of a highly interactive and blended journey featuring:

A job shadowing day with inspiring mentors from public and private sectors who share their knowledge and insights
Career counselors who support the exploration of vocational personalities and help guide career planning processes

Job Shadowing Program offers you the opportunity to learn, grow and develop key skills in the process! In this unique summer program, the first of its kind on the national level, participants will:

Learn about the history and future of the job market in Saudi Arabia
Explore appropriate and meaningful career options
Make informed higher education choices for your chosen career path

Program Prerequisites

The Job Shadowing Program is offered to male and female Saudi high schoolers.

Application Process

Registration

The student creates a new account on the program platform through simple steps.
Submit Application

The student fills out a new application on the program platform by answering a number of questions related to their basic information, in addition to their preferences and interests.
Filtration

The admission team receives the applications and nominates a group of eligible students who meet the specified nomination criteria.
Video Recording

The admission team sends an invitation to nominated students to record a video answering several questions, to verify that they meet the nomination criteria.
Initial Acceptance

Based on the submitted video, the admission team selects a group of students and sends them conditional acceptance offers to join the program.
Parental Consent

The parents/guardians of the students who have received initial acceptance are asked to sign a consent form authorizing their son's/daughter's participation in the program.
Final Acceptance

When the admission team confirms they have received their guardian’s consent forms, the final approval of the student’s participation is sent with the full details of their upcoming journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many contact hours must participants commit to this program?

Online content & workshops = 14 hours (of remote interaction)

In-field job shadowing day experience = 7 hours (of face-to-face interaction)

Total commitment = 21 hours

What is the course schedule? Is it flexible?

Participants must commit to completing all 21 hours of the program’s content within the cohort period assigned to them.

For the mandatory online bootcamp, participants will have at least two different dates to choose from each bootcamp. This allows participants a degree of flexibility for managing other summer commitments they may have.

For the Job shadowing day, if the student wants to reschedule their slot of the Job Shadowing Day, they must request before the actual date by 5 days.

What language is the course delivered in?

The course is delivered in Arabic and sign language. However, if participants speak English, they may get an opportunity to practice their English language during the Job Shadowing Day experience and/or during their personal online career counseling session.

What are the schools that are acceptable in this program?

Students attending any school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (public or private) are highly encouraged to register in this program. Students must be Saudi nationals.
