Participating in MISK programs has been a transformative experience for me. From 2018 to 2023, I had the privilege of being involved in several MISK initiatives, including the Nagoya University Intensive Training Program (NUSIP), the MISK/Lucid Engineering Internship Program, Ignited Voices, and the MISK Delegation for the AI for Good Global Summit. These programs have played a crucial role in shaping my career, equipping me with essential skills, exposure, and networks that have propelled me toward success. In this article, I will share my journey and explain how each program contributed to my professional growth.
In 2018, I was fortunate to be selected for the Nagoya University Intensive Training Program. This program offered a unique opportunity to immerse myself in a foreign academic environment and collaborate with students from diverse backgrounds. NUSIP enhanced my cross-cultural communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and capacity to work effectively in a global setting. The exposure to cutting-edge research and the mentorship I received during this program broadened my horizons and ignited a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
Following NUSIP, I had the chance to participate in the MISK/Lucid Engineering Internship Program. This internship exposed me to the real-world applications of engineering principles, enabling me to apply theoretical knowledge to practical projects. The program fostered a growth-oriented mindset, allowing me to tackle complex challenges, work collaboratively in a professional environment, and develop a strong work ethic. The guidance and mentorship from experienced professionals during the internship provided invaluable insights and advice, greatly shaping my career aspirations.
In 2021, the Ignited Voices program offered me a unique platform to express my ideas and promote positive change. Through storytelling and public speaking workshops, I gained confidence in articulating my thoughts effectively and addressing larger audiences. The program provided a safe space for networking with like-minded individuals, fostering connections that have since become an important part of my support system. Ignited Voices empowered me to share my voice and engage in meaningful conversations, amplifying my impact in various spheres of my career.
One of the most impactful experiences during my journey with MISK was being selected for the MISK Delegation for the AI for Good Global Summit. Attending and speaking at this international summit exposed me to the immense potential of artificial intelligence and its application toward global challenges. The summit provided a platform for exchanging ideas, engaging in discussions with global thought leaders, and developing a broader perspective on the future of AI. The knowledge gained and connections established during this event have been instrumental in shaping my career trajectory, paving the way for involvement in AI-related projects and initiatives.
