Going back to school post pandemic

Say hello to the new school year carefully and cautiously
Some advice to help you adjust to the new normal, and ease you into the school scene after what seemed like an eternity of studying online.

The past year has been full of unexpected surprises, and yet we were able to turn obstacles into opportunities, adapting to times of technological teachings, and moving on towards a new normal. We look forward to going back to life as we know it this year, and so here are a few pieces of advice to help you do just that:

Time management, prioritizing, and getting things done

Good planning is half the battle, and so all you have to do is plan ahead to ensure you have plenty of time to complete your daily tasks. Make sure you have a good night’s sleep to wake up refreshed and ready to work. Start your day with movement; a few stretching exercises or some meditative stances will give you a boost that lasts all day. Then afterwards, list your tasks for the day, as setting bite-sized goals this way helps you achieve them. After which, you can prepare your study space, away from any distractions, and get to work! Give yourself a pat on the back when you’re done!

Taking precautions on your way to school and back

Remember, safety first, and so be sure to follow your school’s safety rules and regulations, stay up to date with the latest from governmental and school resources. We also advise you to prepare a little kit with precautionary tools you might need; some tissues and wipes, a travel-size hand sanitizer, an extra face mask, and things like that. Don’t hesitate to confide in someone and ask for help if you feel overwhelmed. Remember, we’re all in this together.

Breaking the ice and making new friends IRL

Everyone is looking forward to new beginnings this year, and so this semester comes carrying with it the hope of life returning to its vibrancy. In order for you to adjust and keep up with the change, you need to break out of your Covid comfort zone and get back to normal, which might be easier than you think. It’s all about baby steps, start with a simple hello, introduce yourself to new faces, be present, participate, and you’ll be back to your old self in no time.
