Program Overview

The Misk Foundation x Hyundai Motor Group Traineeship Program is a selective 8-week global traineeship designed to provide high-potential Saudi students with meaningful professional experience in Seoul, Korea.

Through this program, participants will be placed in selected teams across Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation, where they will contribute to ongoing work in areas such as smart mobility, future design, open innovation, global sales strategy, and marketing.

Rather than observing from the sidelines, trainees will engage directly with real business tasks and team projects, gaining first-hand exposure to how Hyundai Motor Group develops ideas, responds to market shifts, and advances its vision for the future of mobility.

By combining practical experience, structured learning, and cross-cultural professional exposure, the program reflects the shared commitment of Misk Foundation and Hyundai Motor Group to developing the next generation of Saudi talent and expanding pathways for global growth.

What You Will Learn

Throughout the program, trainees will develop a practical understanding of how a leading global mobility company operates across business, innovation, and design functions. Participants will strengthen their ability to work in an international environment, communicate ideas clearly, conduct research, and contribute to project-based tasks with professionalism and ownership.

Program requirements
  •  Saudi nationals
  • GPA: 3.75/5 or equivalent 
  • Level of Education: Undergraduate Students (final-year students), Master's Students, Recent Graduates (who completed their degree within the past 2 years) 
  •  Proficiency in English sufficient for professional and business communication 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English
  •  Must be able to participate in the full 8-week traineeship program in Korea from July to August, with full attendance (late arrival or early departure is not permitted) 
  • Holding a passport valid for visa application effective for a year starting 6th July 2026 
  •  Legally eligible to work in Korea for the traineeship period, including meeting the requirements for a C-4-5 (Short-Term Employment) visa or other applicable visa that allows short-term traineeship or training activities

Applicants may select one of the six traineeship positions listed below based on their interests and academic background.

For positions indicated as Hyundai Motor Company / Kia Corporation, selected trainees will be assigned to either Hyundai Motor Company or Kia Corporation, depending on the team's placement plan.

Develops mobility solutions for future cities, focusing on smart urban environments and global markets. Introduces participants to smart city innovation and sustainable mobility.

Participants work within Hyundai Motor Group’s Smart City teams, gaining hands-on experience and structured training. They conduct research and develop solutions. Majors: Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, IT.

Bridges technology and people by designing future mobility experiences and smart systems. Focuses on user-centered innovation that enhances interaction with future mobility ecosystems.

Participants work on future mobility UX, HMI systems, and user research, collaborating with engineers and developers. Majors: Industrial/Product Design, UI Design, Visual Communication, AI tools, Cognitive Psychology. Portfolio required.

ZERO1NE is Hyundai Motor Group’s open innovation platform connecting startups and partners to explore emerging technologies and create new business opportunities across future industries.

Participants join global open innovation projects in AI, robotics, mobility, and energy. They support tech scouting, PoC development, and market research. Majors: Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, IT.

Global Sales Strategy

Focus on automotive market strategy and sales innovation in the Middle East. Participants analyze trends, policies, and mobility shifts to strengthen Hyundai’s competitiveness and business growth.

Participants conduct market, policy, and geopolitical analysis to support strategic sales planning and performance evaluation. Majors: Business Management, Economics, Supply Chain, Data Science, Engineering, Political Science.

Focuses on supporting dealership order management and supply operations across MENA. Trainees monitor market conditions, manage risks, and improve supply chain performance through data-driven insights.

Participants work on order-to-delivery processes, demand tracking, supply planning, and market risk analysis. Majors: Business Management, Economics, International Relations.

Focuses on developing marketing strategies across the full customer journey, from pre- to post-purchase. Trainees gain experience in CX, branding, and omnichannel marketing within Hyundai’s global strategy.

Participants work on customer journey analysis, insights, brand communication, and omnichannel marketing. Majors: Business Management, Marketing, International Relations.

No, the traineeship opportunities require a full-time commitment of 5 days per week, 8 hours per day for the full duration of the traineeship program.

 No. Each applicant may apply to only one position/company. Applicants are encouraged to review the available tracks carefully and select the role that best matches their academic background, interests, and career goals.

 Yes, you need to be fluent in English and Arabic, but knowing Korean is an advantage.

 You will receive a confirmation email stating that your application has been successfully received.

No, all internship programs require in-person presence.

Yes, trainees will receive both HMG and Misk Traineeship Program Completion Certificate upon successful completion of the program

The interview will focus on the applicant’s motivation for applying to Hyundai Motor Group, understanding of the selected company and role, learning goals, communication skills, and overall fit for the traineeship.

A portfolio is mandatory for applicants applying to Future Design positions. Applications for design tracks without a portfolio will not be considered complete.

Participants must be eligible to obtain a visa that legally allows them to undertake the traineeship in Korea, including the C-4-5 visa where applicable. Applicants are responsible for confirming their eligibility and required process with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Saudi Arabia. Please be noted Visa issuance and related application costs are the responsibility of the participant and are not covered by the program.

The program provides monthly stipend, round-trip airfare, and hotel accommodation in Seoul for the 8-week traineeship period. Any additional personal expenses must be covered by the participant.
