What Is Nonprofit Sector Skills Program?

The Nonprofit Sector Skills Program is a unique initiative designed to both enhance and develop the capabilities of professionals already working in the nonprofit sector, and to empower those aspiring to join this field. It aims to equip individuals with specialized skills to align with their organizations' goals and improve their performance. This is achieved through a comprehensive training program utilizing modern e-learning tools. The program also focuses on empowering newly graduated youth, providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully enter and work in the nonprofit sector.

 

Program Goals:

  • Raising awareness of the culture and concepts of development and nonprofit work for the participants.
  • Upskilling the Nonprofit sector professionals using cutting-edge training methods and tools and applied practices.
  • Increasing the capability and efficiency of participants for developing the performance of their organizations.
  • Building youth competencies according to the current needs and developments in the nonprofit sector.

We will provide you with a set of intensive and interactive training courses designed for professional workers in the nonprofit sector, to enable them to enhance the performance of their organizations and maximize impact, and for youth who want to work in nonprofit organizations, by providing the opportunity to choose one of the program paths.

First: General Paths

This program provides foundational knowledge and professional insights into the nonprofit sector, its unique characteristics, and its significance. It also highlights various career opportunities available in this field and outlines the specialized professional tracks offered within the program.

For those new to this field, our 'Nonprofit Sector Working Skills' track serves as an entry point into this ambitious sector. This track is tailored for youth eager to join the nonprofit sector and aims to build foundational work skills. In contrast, the 'Building a Work Culture in the Nonprofit Sector' track is designed for individuals already possessing experience in this field.

The 'Building a Work Culture in the Nonprofit Sector' track will commence simultaneously with the 'Nonprofit Sector Working Skills' track. Subsequently, all participants will proceed to their respective specialized tracks to continue their learning journey.

Second: Specialized Paths

Providing specialized training in the specified paths to raise the efficiency of participants and provide them with the necessary knowledge to apply it in their nonprofit organizations.

Application criteria
  • Saudis, Sons and daughters of Saudi citizens, and wife/husband of Saudi.
  • Who work in the nonprofit sector or want to work in it.
  • The participant must be 20 years of age or older when the program begins
  • Able to commit during the program implementation period to attending sessions and preparing the graduation project.

  3. Evaluation
    The evaluation process will consist of three rigorous stages (requirements check, Thorough initial evaluation process & one-to-one online interview). Each stage will help to identify the eligibility of the candidates to move to the next stage. Candidates will be notified accordingly via email.
  4. Application confirmation
    Successful applicants will receive an email confirming their program enrollment. We will also share more program-specific requirements, information and details about your participation.
