A part of Tamara’s Future Leaders Initiative, the Early Career Program provides fresh graduates with the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a high-growth professional environment. This enables them to explore various career paths, build a multitude of skills and develop professional networks while making a real impact on payments for millions of shoppers across the region.  During the program, candidates will fully participate in projects and assignments which contribute directly to the overall business strategy.

Tamara was founded in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2020 by serial entrepreneur Abdulmajeed Alsukhan, Turki Bin Zarah and Abdulmohsen Al Babtain. It has since grown to more than 190 employees in offices around the world including KSA, UAE, Kuwait, Germany and Vietnam. The company’s $110 million Series A round in 2021 - led by UK-based provider Checkout.com - broke records as the largest-ever in the Middle East.

Business Development:

Job Brief:

  • Drive new business by identifying, qualifying, and developing new partnership opportunities for Tamara.
  • Collaborate closely with Partnerships Managers, Partner Success, and Marketing teams to strategize creative outreach campaigns and determine priority of outreach based on potential impact.
  • Manage the first stages of the Business Development pipeline by performing initial outreach and nurturing leads through various inbound channels, including phone, email, and social media.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, marketing or related field graduated in 2019 or later.
  • Experience of 0-1 years in sales, account management, marketing etc., or a desire to pursue a career in sales and business development.

Compliance:

Job Brief:

  • KYC verifications including sanctions screening and AML risk scoring assigning.
  • Compliance assessments and testing.
  • Transactions monitoring.

Candidate Profile:

  • Fresh graduate with a bachelor’s in Law.
  • Interest in building career with Anti-money laundering or compliance.

Job Brief:

  • Execute the strategy we have developed across all social channels.
  • Work with different stockholders (designers, PSM, growth, etc.) to deliver and post in all channels on a daily basis.
  • Track the performance of our channels and make sure we are on targets.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
  • 0-1 years of social media management experience.

Partner Success:

Job Brief:

  • Lead merchants go-lives through cross-functional engagement and close alignment with assigned merchants.
  • Onboard and train new merchants on products and features.
  • Deliver proactive merchant growth plans to drive long-term profitable partnerships, higher merchant satisfaction and expansion across products and markets.

Candidate Profile:

  • Fresh graduate with a bachelor’s in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
  • 0 -1 years of experience (internships at startups / previous experience in customer facing roles are a plus).

What you bring to the team:

  • Saudi nationals
  • GPA 4/5  or equivalent  
  • Relevant internship experience is a plus  
  • Excellent communications skill in English; Arabic is a plus 
  • Strong grasp of MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint and Word 
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams internally; marketing, product, operations, etc. 
  • Ready to embrace challenges and be willing to work hard to achieve goals 
  • Self-motivated, extremely detail-oriented, and strong time management skills 
  • Strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving work environment 
  • Willingness to step up to greater responsibility, strong desire to contribute to overall goals 

Interview Proces:

  • First-round interview : Getting to know you, a chance to learn more about Tamara, brief overview of the program 
  • Second-round interview : Understanding the expectations from your role and responsibilities, skill set alignment 
  • (If applicable) Case study round : You will be given a case study designed to check your skills 
  • (If applicable) Panel discussion interview : Assessment of the case study by a panel, testing problem solving and creativity
