Misk Skills Traineeships Program aims to empower talented Saudi youth across university students, fresh graduates, and young professionals to launch their professional careers by offering professional opportunities in collaboration with top-tier international and local organizations.

Program Overview 

Interns may choose their preferred internship role from the options below: 

  • Role 1: Content Developer / Exhibition Planner 
  • Role 2: Operations 
  • Role 3: Assistant to Project Manager 

Role 1: Content Developer / Exhibition Planner - Overview 

We are looking for motivated young Saudis, passionate about museums, history and heritage seeking to gain a valuable experience in the world of the international museum consulting. 

Avesta Group is offering one trainee position for a total length of six months to take part in the planning and development of museums and cultural projects as content developer/exhibition planner. This program will provide the candidate the opportunity to get an in-depth understanding of the museums and exhibitions planning process and be part of an exciting experience: the making of brand-new cultural destinations in the Kingdom of Saud Arabia and abroad. The trainee will be welcomed in Avesta’s office in Paris to join a dynamic international and multidisciplinary team composed of junior and senior consultants. During this program, the trainee may be given the opportunity to travel to Saudi Arabia for on-site missions to visit the project sites, meet with the clients, collect information or objects. Avesta team is looking for sharing and transmitting its experience and expertise in museum’s planning and makes a point on training the interns and new hires. At the end of the program, the integration of the candidate into Avesta team as full-time employees will be assessed. 

As part of the exhibition planning team, the trainee will be involved in the development of museum projects in the following missions: 

  • Conception and planning of permanent exhibition (definition of concepts, interpretation strategies, visitor experience) 
  • Content development, documentation, and iconographic research 
  • Collections development: research and identification of collections. 
  • Development of activation strategies and cultural programs. 
  • One of our current major axes of work is the promotion and valorisation of Intangible Heritage. The trainee may assist in these exciting projects by taking part in the collections of materials such as oral archive campaigns and participate in the development of intangible heritage valorisation strategy. 

Role 1: Content Developer / Exhibition Planner - Eligibility Criteria 

  • Saudi Nationals 
  • Master’s Degree Graduates from 2019, 2020, 2021, or 2022 
  • Accepted University Majors  
  • Humanities including, but not limited to:  
  • Art History  
  • History  
  • Anthropology  
  • Archaeology  
  • Museums or Cultural Institution Management (not compulsory) 

 

Role 2: Operations - Overview 

We are looking for motivated young Saudis, passionate about cultural management, economics, museums and heritage sites operations, seeking to gain a valuable experience in the world of the international museum consulting. 

Avesta Group is offering a paid trainee position for a total length of six months to take part in the planning and development of museums and cultural projects as operations junior consultants. This program will provide graduates the opportunity to get an in-depth understanding of the museums and exhibitions planning process and be part of an exciting experience: the making of brand-new cultural destinations in the Kingdom of Saud Arabia and abroad. Trainees will be welcomed in Avesta’s office in Paris to join a dynamic international and multidisciplinary team composed of junior and senior consultants. During this program, the trainees may be given the opportunity to travel to Saudi Arabia for on-site missions to visit the project sites, meet with the clients, collect information. Avesta team is looking for sharing and transmitting its experience and expertise in museum’s planification and makes a point on training the interns and new hires. At the end of the program, the integration of the candidates into Avesta team as full-time employees will be assessed. 

Avesta Group’s projects have an international outreach. Currently, the firm is working in Saudi Arabia on permanent exhibitions, museums, interpretive centres, in AlUla but also on a network of historical palaces and regional museums in the Kingdom.  

As part of the content team, the trainees will be involved in the development of museum projects in the following missions: 

  • Preparation of Business cases,  
  • Benchmarks in the cultural field, including research in sociology, economy on GCC countries 
  • Contribution to define strategic and operational plans 

Role 2: Operations- Eligibility Criteria 

  • Saudi Nationals 
  • Master’s Degree Graduates from 2019, 2020, 2021, or 2022 
  • Accepted University Majors  
  • Museum or Cultural Institution Management 
  • Business, economics 
  • Public policies, research in economy, sociology 

Role 3: Assistant to Project Manager - Overview 

We are looking for motivated young Saudis, passionate about cultural management, economics, museums, and heritage site operations, seeking to gain a valuable experience in the world of the international museum consulting. 

Avesta Group is offering a paid trainee position for a total length of six months to take part in the development of museums and cultural projects as an assistant to the project manager. This program will provide graduates the opportunity to get an in-depth understanding of the functioning of a consultancy agency specialising in culture and be part of an exciting experience: the making of brand-new cultural destinations in the Kingdom of Saud Arabia and abroad. The trainee will work hand in hand with the project managers and contribute to the success of their project. As an assistant to the project manager, the trainee will be given the opportunity to be involved in all phases of the projects, perform a wide range of tasks, from administrative assistance to translations, and discover the challenges and specific management methodology of museum planning projects. 

The trainee will be welcomed in Avesta’s office in Paris to join a dynamic international and multidisciplinary team composed of junior and senior consultants. At the end of the program, the integration of the candidates into Avesta team as full-time employees will be assessed. 

As part of Avesta team, the trainee will be involved in the following missions: 

  • Assistance in project management including:  

The trainee will partner with the project managers to perform day-to-day missions revolving around translations and assistance tasks, such as correspondence and schedule management but it will also include:   

  • Liaising and managing the external communication with the client in Arabic and English, 
  • Responding to clients' enquiries 
  • Supporting the project manager with the preparation of project plans and distribution of project tasks,  
  • Managing internal communication, 
  • Preparing follow-up meetings and presentations, recording the minutes of meetings,  
  • Participating in recruitment (if needed) 
  • Supporting the project manager in the translation and analysis of Arabic documents and contents,  
  • Interpreting from Arabic to English or from English to Arabic during meetings, 
  • Assistance in the development of new business opportunities: 
  • Prospection for market opportunities,  
  • Development of partners’ strategies,  
  • Updating the agency’s portfolio, 
  • Assistance in tenders’ preparation 

Role 3: Assistant to Project Manager - Eligibility Criteria 

  • Saudi Nationals 
  • Bachelor’s or master's degree Graduates from 2019, 2020, 2021, or 2022 
  • Accepted University Majors  
  • Museum or Cultural Institution Management 
  • Public policies 
  • Translation and Interpretation (English/Arabic) 
  • History, Art History
